Global Gang this summer is all about being good neighbours.  It will run from Mon 24 -Weds 26 Aug.  We’ll have a great mix of fun, games, craft, music and we’ll be making a difference in the neighbourhood.  If you’re in Reception through to year 6 then get your parents to sign you up as soon as possible and no later than 6th July.  You can down load the form below or pick one up in the church office.

On Weds 26th in the afternoon we’ll have our special global gang service followed by a bbq and all global gangers and families are especially invited.

the dangerous club for boys

We had our first meeting of the Dangerous Club for Boys on Sunday 10th May and what fun we had.  The club is for lads and dads aged 5-105 and we started off with an afternoon of Scalectrix and pizza.  We decided we’d try to get together every half-term and came up with a whole range of things we’d like to get up to – here’s the list:

• Water and air rockets
• Archery
• Climbing wall
• Geo-caching
• Giant catapults/trebuchets
• Canoes/kayaks/raft building
• Cricket
• Shelter building / camp craft
• Make your own cross-bow/long-bow
• Air-rifle shooting
• Making a potato canon

So if you think the Dangerous Club is your sort of fun and might be where you’d like to spend some quality time with your lad/dad then keep an eye on the web-site for updates and the date of our next meeting.

easter funday – lots of fun

Red , our Easter funday, was fantastic fun!  44 children enjoyed games, extreme silliness, crafts, puppets, films and lots of red, all to learn the story of Easter and to explore it’s amazing message for each one of us today.  We finished the funday with over 90 kids and families sitting down to a meal together.  Look out for Global Gang – Operation: Neighbourhood in the summer.

duggie dug dug praise party

There is a Party with Duggie Dug Dug taking place on Saturday 28th February, 6-7.30pm at  St Paul’s Church, Crawley Ridge, Camberley, GU15 2AD.  Suitable for 5s-11s but all welcome.

Faith Development at Home

Children’s leaders’ training morning Sat 14th March 8:30-12:30am Including breakfast, St John the Baptist, Windlesham, GU20 6BL

Nurturing faith at home is key to children’s faith development, so how do we support that in our children’s ministry? Jane Butcher of Barnabas’ Church Team will talk us through the journey so far and lead us to some of the great ideas that are being tried out around the world. These training mornings are popular, fun and a great opportunity to get the best training, right on your doorstep.

pancake race

Get ready for the Windlesham Pancake Race on Sunday 1st March at 3pm in the Field of Remembrance

Bring your own pancake and pan ready to race!  There’ll be races and prizes for all ages as well as refreshments and a raffle.

The weather treated us well and 40 of us enjoyed a great walk across the fields and around the arboretum – what a fantastic way to start the year.

angels funday fun

We had enormous fun at our Christmas fundaywith 60 kids and a fantastic team of leaders!  We had visit from our french singing coach and tried Angel Delight to see if it was any good as a face cream.  We had fun learning about the great story of Christmas and what it means to us.

We’re  holding our training morning for the children’s ministry team on Saturday 14th March 8:30-12:30 (incl breakfast).
